Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sealing efficiency and prevent a reel from revolution in the closed status of a sliding cover by installing the sliding cover closing a cut part in addition to a rotating cover to close a cassette opening part. CONSTITUTION:A rotating cover 17 and a sliding cover 18 are installed to be used for a tape cassette 1 and a cut part 13 respectively. A pair of projections 22 of the sliding cover 18 are engaged with a guide channel 23 and forced to slide to the front side by a compression spring 26. A tape reel has a ring locking part around the periphery of a hub and, in the sealed status that the rotating and sliding covers 17, 18 are closed, a lock pawl 45a is engaged with the ring locking part to prevent the tape reel from rotation.
