Abstract

PURPOSE:To exactly and easily perform the laying work of a hurdle dyke at construction site as well as permit the mass-production of constituent parts, e.g., strut, side plates, and bottom plate, each having specific structures, for the hurdle dyke. CONSTITUTION:A trench of a specific cross section is excavated in the ground 5, struts 2 are set at fixed intervals in the trench, and a bottom plate 4 is inserted sideways and laid in the part of a bottom receiving beam 2A. Also, in the part of a strut receiving beam 2B, side plates 3 are inserted and fixed from above. In this case, the bottom plate 4 and the side plates 3 are coupled with the flanges F of each shape steel member constituting the struct 2. In this way, the operations are orderly repeated to form the hurdle dyke. The thickness H of the bottom plate 4 and the side plates 3 is made smaller than the distance F' between the flanges. After the laying work, the bottom plate 4 is pushed upwards and the side plates 3 are pushed inwards and pressed on the internal flange F when embbdded. As a result, in the hurdle dyke thus laid, water coming from outside flows into between the side plates and goes out.
