Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the strength against shear fracture by a method wherein flexible joint, similar to pin joint, is applied to the joined part of each element and the lateral surface of an adjacent element is supported, as being covered, by a curved steel plate so that the shearing force is received by said part.
CONSTITUTION: A groove 6 in a fixed length is excavated, an ferro-reinforced basket 1 is built in the groove 6 and concrete 7 is case therein, thereby the 1st element 8 being formed. Next, another groove 9 in a fixed length is excavated in the position adjacent to the element 8, another ferro-reinforced basket 10 is built in the groove 9 and concrete 11 is cast therein, thus the 2nd element 12 is formed in a row with the 1st element 8. In the building method for an underground continuous wall worked in said way, the ferro-reinforced basket, to which a steel plate 3 whose horizontal cross section is curved inward is fixed in the entire range of all the height of the lateral surface thereof, is employed as the ferro-reinforced basket 1 of the above 1st element 8.
