Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the ceramic having high voltage electrical constants and high specific permittivity, by substituting part of Pb atoms in four component solid solution series of Pb(Ni1/3Nb2/3)O3-Pb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-PbZrO3 by Sr, adding Li2CO3 as a subcomponent, thereby facilitating the sintering property. CONSTITUTION:When basic composition formula is expressed by APb(Ni1/3Nb 2/3)O3.BPb(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3.CPbTiO3.DPbZrO3 where A+B+C+D=1, the symbols A-D which limit the extent of the composition satisfy the following equations. In the main component composition wherein up to 15% of the Pb atoms are substituted by Sr, Li2O3 is included as the subcomponent at the rate of 0.25-1.50wt% with respect to the main component. The equations limiting the A-D are 0.01<=A<=0.55, 0.01<=B<=0.70, 0.10<=C<=0.60, and 0.01<=D<=0.70. In this method, an equipment using this ceramic can be operated at relatively low voltages and is suitable for piezoelectric pickups and the like.
