Abstract

PURPOSE:To elevate the efficiency of marking work with automation thereof by spraying a paint to a number of marking holes arranged on a rotary stencil with a spary gun after it is positioned on a member to be marked. CONSTITUTION:A member W to be marked on a delivery conveyor 3 is inserted into a rotary device 4 with a chuck and chucked. Then, a mobile section of a manipulator 2 is operated to move a marking head 1 to the required marking position of the member W being marked while a rotary stencil 6 is rotated to position a given marking hole 5 right below an automatic spray gun 9, where a paint is sprayed from the gun 9 to mark on the member W. An excess paint is absorbed with a ring 11 containing a sponge. After the end of the marking for one character the rotary stencil 6 is turned to either a cleaning head 14 or 15, right or left, to clean. After the end of all markings, the member W is turned and dried with a forced dryer 12.
