Abstract

PURPOSE: To efficiently perform the coating work for obtaining the coating of a specified pattern on the surface of the work to be coated, by arranging the coating roll provided with many coating holes of a specified pattern so as to rotate contacting with the work to be coated traveling on the conveyer, and by feeding the coating material throught these coating holes.
CONSTITUTION: The plural works 4 to be coated, being put on the converyer 6, are traveled at a constant speed on the conveyer 6. The cylindrical coating roll 1, provided with infinite number of specially patterned coating holes 3, contacting with the upper surface of the works 4 to be coated, is rotated with the travel of the works 4. The cavity 2 is formed inside the coating roll 1; the powder or liquid coating material 14 is supplied from the hopper 12 into this cavity 2. Hereby, the coated part 5 of a specified shape corresponding to the pattern of the coating holes 3 is formed on the surface of the works 4 to be coated. Since the spray gun is not used, the trouble due to the plugging of the gun, etc., does not happen, so that the coating work can be performed at good efficiency.
