Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the uniform spikes for the single component magnetic toner even although a jam or blocking phenomenon occurs, by providing an auxiliary plate opposite to the outer circumference surface of a development roller with a space a slightly smaller than the set length of the spike of a magnetic brush. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary plate 9 is provided at the downstream side of a spike cut member 8 and along the travelling direction 10 of a magnetic brush 7. In this case, a space l2 between the plate 9 and the outer circumference surface of a development roller 4 is set shorter than the set spike length of the brush 7. As a result, the spikes of the brush 7 are set nearly even along the axial line of the roller 4 by the plate 9 although a jam or blocking phenomenon occurs. Thus the uniform development is prevented.
