Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the variance in castings by providing distribution grooves having height differences to a distributor which distributes molten metal into plural cavities, and vertically moving the distributor with respect to runners connecting to the cavities thereby communicating the runners and the distributing grooves successively.
CONSTITUTION: When molten metal M is poured onto a plunger 5 by a pouring sleeve 6, and the plunger 5 ascends, the distributing groove A of a distributor 12 communicates with the runner 10 of a cavity F, and the molten metal M is supplied to the cavity F. On the other hand, a distributing groove D is shallow and therefore it is closed by the peripheral wall of the distributor 12. Next, the distributor 12 is moved upward to communicate the groove D with the runner 10, and by the further upward movement of the plunger 5, the molten metal M is supplied into a cavity H. When the molten metal M is filled in cavities F, H, the plunger 5 is finally moved upward, to pressurize the molten metal M.
