Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flow rate measuring device for steam which eliminates the influence of a faucet upon steam by providing a pair of horizontal pressure conduit pipes disposed at a right angle to the flow of steam to a steam piping having a throttling part and determining the differential pressure between these pipes. CONSTITUTION:Pressure lead-out-holes 9 are provided on the side wall surfaces in the radial direction of a steam piping 1 having a throttling part 2, and the holes 9 and reference head pipes 5a are connected with pressure conduit pipes 3a. A differential pressure converter 6 communicated and connected with the pipes 5a are provided between these pipes, and further pipings 7 for filling and draining of water and having valves 8 are connected roughly at the centers of the pipes 5a. If water is kept filled up to the lower parts of the pipes 3a of a steam flow rate device constituted in this way, the steam flowing in the piping 1 increases the flow speed in the throttling part, thereby generating a differential pressure before and behind the throttling part. Therefore, the pressure difference thereof is measured with the converter 6, whereby the flow rate is determined. Since the condensation of the steam is less than as much as the inside diameter of the pipes 3a, measurement errors are reduced.
