Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a valve to be operated safely and surely by a method wherein a bypass port opened upon closing of the valve is provided in the valve body of the captioned opening and closing valve to discharge remaining air pressure remaining in a secondary circuit upon closing of the valve. CONSTITUTION:A port 23 communicating a chamber 14 with a chamber 21 is bored in a diaphragm valve body 16 and a valve seat 24 is provided at the periphery of the lower opening part of the port 23. According to this construction, a valve seat 24 is abutted to a seat surface 25 thereof upon closing of the valve body 16 and the port 23 is closed. According to the above constitution, when pressurized fluid is supplied from an entrance 12, the fluid flows to an exit port 13 side only because the port 23 is closed during the opening of the valve body 16, however, when the pressure at the entrance side is lowered, the valve body 16 is abutted to a valve seat 15 and the valve is closed, the fluid at the exit port side is discharged into atmosphere through the port 23 and an open port 22 because the port 23 is opened, whereby the pressure will never remain at the exit side upon closing of the valve.
