Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress transient electric power loss and to suppress electric power loss even in a steady state, by inserting a diode between the collector of the leading-stage transistor (TR) of a Darlington-connected TR circuit and that of the trailing-stage TR. CONSTITUTION:The cathode of a diode D1 is connected to the collector side of the leading-stage TR2 of a Darlington-connected TR circuit, and the anode is connected to that of the trailing-stage TR1; and an external terminal is connected to an electrode to which the collector of the TR2 and the cathode of the D1 are connected. Consequently, the large-current relay TR1 is driven directly by a small signal generated by a bipolar IC or MOSIC; and transient electric power loss by the relay TR1 because of the characteristics that its impedance like a lamp load increases right after it is driven by being powered up is suppressed, and electric power loss in a steady state is also suppressed sufficiently.
