Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a line which has a small dielectric constant, the less loss of a dielectric, and excellent size stability, by arranging pairs of conductors in lengthwise direction, opposite to each other, and in parallel on both sides of a specified porous tape with a small dielectric constant, and compressing and clipping the tape at conductor end parts. CONSTITUTION:A small-dielectric-constant tape 1 is formed by using drawn porous polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE; and five pairs of conductors shown by, e.g. 2a and 2a'-2e and 2e' are opposed to each other in the thickness direction on both sides of the tape 1 and extended in lengthwise direction, in parallel, and at distance from corresponding adjacent pairs. On both the sides of the tape 1, uncalcined and unoriented PTFE tapes are provided and they are passed between a couple of press-fixing rolls having projecting parts and then passed through a sintering tank to form recess parts 3a and 3a' in sheaths 3 and 3'. Thus, the tape 1 is crushed to be melt-stuck to the sheaths 3 and 3' in one body. Consequently, the porosity of a part 1' decreases to increase a dielectric constant, and deformation due to pressure application in a thickness direction is prevented.
