Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the moving speed of a reproducing element for pickup reproduction of a recording signal with the same circuit, by recording a burst signal in a frequeny other than that of a main information signal band through the selection of recording length at each revolution of a disc.
CONSTITUTION: A static capacitance formed between an electrode of a reproducing stylus 31 and a disc 29 is converted into a high frequency with a pickup circuit, and the signal is applied to a demodulation circuit 33, band pass filters 34 and 35, and an fp3 detector 36 respectively. An output detecting signal FP3 of the detector 36 is applied to an fp3 length detecting circuit 41, where the burst length at a disc rotation period of the fp3 detecting signal FP3 reproduced is detected. In this case, since the burst signal is recorded by selecting the recording length at each rotation of a disc, the moving speed of a reproducing element to pick up and reproduce the recording signal can be controlled with the same circuit, to achieve low cost.
