Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to sense broken fibers while moving between spindles, by means of a movable sensor having a light irradiating mirror, etc. movable toward running yarns in the respective spindles of a spinning frame, and movable along the respective spindles, and further a laser light source and a receptor at the end part of the spinning frame. CONSTITUTION:A guide groove 9 is provided between a drafting apparatus and a snail wire 3 on a machine frame 8 in a fine spinning frame, and a movable sensor 10 is mounted in the groove 9. The movable sensor 10 is provided with a light irradiating mirror 11 and a receptor mirror 12, and running yarns 6 in the respective spindles are irradiated with light from a light irradiating apparatus 17 for a laser beam through the irradiating mirror 11. The light reflected from the running yarns 6 is received by the receptor mirror 12 and sent to a receptor 18 provided at the end part of the machine frame. The movable sensor 10 may be provided with a prism in place of the reflecting mirrors 11 and 12. The sensor 10 may be connected to the light irradiating apparatus 17 or light receptor 18 with optical fibers.
