PURPOSE:To uniformalize the insulating distance between adjacent commutator segments by providing projections at respective brush slides, assembling them in a circular shape in contact with the adjacent brush slides and molding them with resin. CONSTITUTION:The bodies of commutator segments 1 are inserted into the upper side in the slot 2a of an armature core 2, to which an armature coil is inserted, and the brush slides 1a of the segments 1 are aligned at the outer periphery of the coil end 3 of the armature coil. In this case, the projections 1c are provided to be directed in the same direction so that the projections 1c of the respective segments 1 are sequentally contacted with the side surfaces of the brush slides 1a of the adjacent segments. Further, the slides 1a are secured in a circle with a securing tool to the outer peripnery of the coil end 3 of the armature coil, are molded with resin in this state, and the segments 1 are secured to the outer periphery of the coil end 3. Then, the projections 1c are removed.
