Abstract

PURPOSE:To reproduce an analog video signal with high quality with reduced memory capacity, by reproducing a digital signal of picture information during picture period sampled at a prescribed sampling freequency from a recording medium and multiplexing this with a synchronizing signal generated separately. CONSTITUTION:A digital video signal recorded on a disc recording medium (disc)11 with a recoring system is picked up at a pickup circuit 12 and FM- demodulated at a demodulation circuit 13. After errors of a time series synthesis signal FM-demodulated are corrected at an error corrector 14, a digital signal of a prescribed channel and a pickup control signal are applied to a serial parallel converter 15. A signal of a prescribed channel of the digital signal in serial- parallel conversion at the circuit 15 and the control signal are converted into an analog signal at a D/A converter 16 for output, and the control signal is applied to a prescribed circuit. The signal with the specified channel is applied to a reproducing circuit 20, a synchronizing signal and a color burst signal are added and outputted with multiplexing.
