Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a high-temperature and high-pressure heat exchanger for the nuclear power plant whose thickness of each pipe-plate is made thin and whose heat stress at the connected part of th pipe-plate with a pipe body is alleviated, by making the pipe-plate double-layered, and by compressedly injecting the inactive gas into the space between the double pipe-plates.
CONSTITUTION: The single pipe 23 of connecting piece 20 is jointed to a heat exchanger pipe 8, an inner pipe 22 is joined to outer pipe-plates 9 and 10, and an outer pipe 21 is joined to inner pipe-plates 9' and 10', respectively by welding. The pressure on the side of water which passes through the inside of heat exchanger pipe 8 acts to the outer pipe-plates 9 and 10, while the one on the side of the sodium which circulates the outside of heat exchanger pipe 8 acts to the inner pipe-plates 9' and 10'. When the inactive gas is forcedly injected into a space 19, the difference of the pressure of inactive gas and that of water only acts on the pipe-plates 9 and 10, while the difference of the pressure of inactive gas and that of sodium only acts to the pipe-plates 9' and 10'. By the differences between those pressures, the thickness of each double layered pipe can be made about a half than the case of single pipe-plate.
