Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the operation errors of an automatic concn. regulator ATR by protecting an ATR detecting element which detects the change of electrostatic capacity, etc., in the surroundings against the disturbing magnetic field from a magnet disposed in a sleeve by means of magnetic material shields. CONSTITUTION:Level detection is accomplished by detecting the capacity of the developer. When the developer contg. iron power as a carrier and a toner decreases to a position lower than the height of an ATR element 23, the element 23 detects the change in the electrostatic capacity or magnetic field near the element and replenishes the toner to the developer through a hopper. In this case, important is that a magnet 3 exists near the element 23. Therefore, the magnetic field that give disturbance must be shut off. Shield plates 6-7 are the magnetic shield walls constituted of a magnetic material, and the disturbing magnetic field from the magnet 3 is shielded against the element 23 by means of these shield plates.
