Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a tensioner by connecting the main body of the tensioner to the arm member provided on the support flame in transmission belt, and at the same time by making the tensioner give tension to the transmission belt by means of a tension spring which is connected to the arm member. CONSTITUTION:Support flame F is fixed to lower section prop 24 which is installed between sprockets 13, 14 by bolt 25 and the base end of arm member 21 is supported on the upper support flame 26 so that it can swing freely, and the movable end 18 of the main body of tensioner 16 is connected to the free end of the arm part material 21. Also the free end of rod 36 is allowed to loosely penetrate the middle part of the arm part material 21 and stretch-set tension spring 37 is mounted between the middle part of the arm member 21 and swing piece 32. When the transmission belt 15 is elongated, the arm member 21 swings by tensile force of the tension spring 37, and rod 36 moves to the direction shown by arrow (B) in the figure. It makes the main body of the tensioner 16 move toward transmission belt 15 side and adjusts the tension so that it automatically becomes constant.
