Abstract
PURPOSE:To substantially avoid skew, by dynamically correcting a data track and a rotary head, through the applcation of a driving signal of skew error to two sets of bimorph actuators and the alignment of the rotary head with a slope. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head 28 is fitted to a free end of two sets of bimorph actuators 34 and 35, and a skew error signal generating circuit 31 for the head 28 is provided. With this constitution, if a slope of DELTAtheta is present between a data track 17 and a head moving path 18, when a skew error signal is generated, a driving voltage from a driving signal circuit 32 is applied to the actuators 34 and 35. In this case, when the voltage is applied with inversed polarity, the head 28 turns as the arrow 45 by setting a point 44 to a center for slope alignment. Thus, the trck 17 and the path 18 are completely matched, allowing to correct skew substantially.
