Abstract

PURPOSE:To record two-channel signals on a single track, by recording an audible band signal and a carrier wave in higher frequency than the modulated audible frequency on the single track of a magnetic tape with addition. CONSTITUTION:After an input signal applied to an input terminal 1 is amplified at an amplifier 2, it is applied to a power amplifier 4 via a contact R of a switch and drives a speaker 5. A part of the output of the amplifier 2 is added with an output frequency-modulated with a modulator 8 connected to an adder 6. High frequency bias is superimposed on the added signal with a recording circuit 9 and recorded on a magnetic tape 11. The signal on the tape 11 reproduced at a reproducing head 12 drives the speaker 5 via the power amplifier 4 from a moving contact P of the switch 3. A part of the output of an amplifier 13 demodulates a signal applied to a modulator 8 and can be listened by an earphone. Thus, two-channel signals can be recorded on a single track of the tape.
