Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep always the weight balance of the whole of a device and to make the pressing force of a probe constant, by dividing a driving part and a probe holder from each other and constituting them so that they are always moved in directions opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:A device is provided with a main body 1, an arm 5 for a probe which is installed orthogonally to a welding line 4, an arm 6 for a driving part which is arranged in parallel with the arm 5, a probe holder 11 which is fitted freely movably, and a driving part 10. When a pinion 8 is rotated by a motor 9, the driving part 10 runs longitudinally on the arm 6. A wire 12 is connected to the probe holder 11 through pulleys 13 and 14 provided at both ends of arms 5 and 6 to transfer the same extent of the movement as the driving part 10 to the holder 11. The probe holder 11 is provided with a probe 16, a probe pressing mechanism 18, and a position detecting mechanism 17.
