Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the welding line detecting function, by constituting the welding line detecting device with two welding line detectors which move in directions vertical and horizontal to the device.
CONSTITUTION: The first arm 7 which moves freely in the vertical direction is fitted to welding line detecting device main body 6, and the first welding line detector 1A is fitted to jig 9 at the tip. The second arm 10 is fitted which moves in the direction orthogonal to the first arm 7 and moves freely in the direction horizontal to main body 6, and the second welding line detector 1B is fitted to jig 14 suspended at one end. Driving device 13 is driven to move the second arm 10 through pinion 11 and rack tooth 10a in the horizontal direction, and the interval between the second welding line detector 1B at the tip and the first welding line detector 1a is adjusted finely. By this device, the welding line in the fillet weld joint and the lap joint is detected accurately to form an accurate welding bead.
