Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower construction costs and to improve the recovery rate of energy by treating the excess sludge produced from a settling basin for 20W 90min at 125W200°C then cooling the same and subjecting the same to methane fermentation in a digesting tank thence adding a filtration accelerator to the sludge and dehydrating the same.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage 1 is introduced into a settling basin 2, where crude sludge 5 is settled and separated, after which it is decomposed by microorganisms under areation in an aeration tank 3. After the sludge is separated in a final settling basin 4, the supernatant is pumped out. The sludge in a sludge storage tank 9 is withdrawn with a sludge pump 10, and is injected into a treating tank 11, where it is heat treated for 30min at 175°C. Thence, the sludge in a storage tank 12 is withdrawn with a sludge feed pump 15, is withdrawn from the bottom of a digesting tank 14 with an air feed pump 13, and is mixed with the seed sludge contg. anerobic bacteria withdrawn from the extension part of the tank 14 with the pump 15. The mixed sludge is introduced into the tank 14.
