Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the zeta potential of suspended particles and to improve the flocculation effect in a neutral region considerably by adding the flocculation active material producing bacteria belonging to the Dematiacea genus of black germ families to sea water thereby flocculating and settling polluting matter.
CONSTITUTION: Glycol or the like as a carbon source is put into an ordinary synthetic medium, for example, Czapek medium, and the germ of No.4257 deposited with BIKOKEN is inoculated to this and was clutured. Thence, the medium is heated for 5 minutes at 100°C, and is subjected to centrifugation at 3,000rpm/min, whereby funguns bodies are removed.
