Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a filter of free shapes and large sizes of surface areas by sticking catalyst components on a fabric-like filter made of heat resistant glass fibers as a catalyst filter for removing fine particles in waste gases.
CONSTITUTION: As a filter for removing fine particles such as dust, mists or the like in waste gases from diesel engines, boilers, etc., catalyst components such as metallic oxides are stuck on the carrier of a fabric-like filter 3' consisting of heat resistant glass fibers, whereby said filter is produced. The catalyst filter produced in this way permits free selection of its design shapes and the surface area of the filter 3' is increased relatively freely without changing the section of a duct 1.
