Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent figures, letters and the like from being seen non-properly during the time when there are no emissions, especially under the irradiation of strong external light, by mixing zinc oxide phosphor with a cobalt green pigment so as to form a phosphor layer for a display tube. CONSTITUTION:Zinc oxide phosphor and 0.1-15wt% to the above zinc oxide phosphor of cobalt green pigment are well mixed by means of a dry ball mill or the like so as to obtain a green-colored mixture. Next, thus obtained green- colored mixture is added with a binder and is made into a paste, and the paste is applied for screen printing or something similar on an anode base plate, thereby forming a phosphor layer. By the means mentioned above, color difference between the above phosphor layer and an anode segment or an insulating layer can be reduced, any figure can be prevented from being seen non-properly during the time when there are no emissions, especially under the irradiation of strong external light, and figures can be made easily distinguished.
