Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a titled lens having high transparency and impact resistance by using an urethane resin obtd. by the reaction of an isocyanate compd. and a hydroxy compd. as a blank material and providing prescribed optical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:An urethane resin obtd. by causing an isocyanate compd. and a hydroxy compd. to react is used as a blank material. The properties thereof varies with the compounding ratios of both components, reaction temp. and reaction time; for example, it has the properties shown in the table. Hence, these compounding ratios and reaction conditions are so set that the refractive index attains nD=1.45-1.70 (values at 20 deg.C) and Abbe number nu=35-60. Thereby, the lens having high transparency and impact resistance is obtd.
