Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain the thermal connection between a heat-collecting plate and a heat-collecting pipe in a constantly favorable condition by a method wherein one side of a backing metal covering the heat-collecting pipe is rivetted to the heat-collecting plate. CONSTITUTION:The heat-collecting pipes 3 are fitted in a recessed grooves 2 provided on the back side of the heat-collecting plate 1, the backing metal 4 provided with a recessed groove 5 is fitted over each of the pipes 3 and one side 6 of the backing metal 4 is fixed to the heat-collecting plate 1 by rivets 8 so that the pipe 3 is held therebetween by pressing the pipe 3 against the plate 1 by the elasticity of the backing metal 4. Accordingly, the extent of sliding is permitted between the plate 1 and the pipes 3, so that even when a difference in thermal expansion is produced due to the temperature difference between the plate 1 and the pipe 3, the plate and the pipe can slide relatively to each other and no deformation takes place in the plate 1 or the backing metal 4.
