Abstract

PURPOSE:To diagnose a data transmission system wherein data transmitters are in loop-connection by transmitting diagnostic data to the transmission line of a stand-by system. CONSTITUTION:Data transmitters 1-4, in-use system transmission lines 11-14, and in-use system lines 21-24 are provided. Then, Fig. (a) shows the state of the device 1, and Fig. (b) shows that of the divice 2; and Fig. (c) shows the state of the device 3, and Fig. (d) shows that of the device 4. The devices 1 and 3 are connected to the in-use system transmission lines to by-pass the stand- by system transmission lines, and the devices 2 and 4 are connected to the stand- by system transmission lines to by-pass the in-use system transmission lines. The device 2 sends data concerning a diagnosis to the device 4 via the stand-by system transmission line without interrupting the in-use system, and the device 4 also sends data concerning the diagnosis to the device via the stand-by system transmission line.
