Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve high-speed conversion without reducing resolution by converting the high-order digits of an analog voltage to be converted from analog to digital by a high-speed A/D converter and by converting the low-order digits from analog to digital by a double integral A/D converter. CONSTITUTION:An analog voltage to be converted, applied from a terminal 1 to an A/D conversion part 6a composed of a high-speed A/D converter, is converted there from analog to digital and the result is stored in a storage part 11 and also set in a D/A conversion part. The conversion part 7 processes the digital value by D/A conversion and supplies the result to an addition part 3. The addition part 3 calculates a differnece between the input analog and this voltage, and outputs a prescribed multiple of the difference. This value is converted from analog to digital with excellent resolution through the double integrating operation of an A/D conversion part 6b to be stored in a storage part 12. Simultaneously, the conversion part 6a sets the output in a conversion part 7. Therefore, the output of the addition part 3 is supplied to an A/D conversion part 6c. Thus, a digital value which consists of the output of the conversion part 6a as the high-order digit and those of the 6b-6f as the low-order digits.
