CONSTITUTION:A conveyor 3 is provided so as to pass through a coil 1, and when products 41, 42... to be inspected are made to flow in as the conveyor moves, passing of the products is grasped by a photoelectric tube 2, subsequently they rush into the coil 1, whether a metallic piece foreign matter exists or not is inspected, and the products are selected after passing through the coil 1. Passing of the metallic piece foreign matter through the coil 1 can be detected by connecting the coil 1 between terminals T1, T2, of a Q-meter, and measuring a variation of a Q-value of the coil 1. Also, instead of said constitution, it is also possible to use a structure by which a particle-like non-metallic substance containing a metallic piece is dropped in the coil, and the metallic piece which is detected is separated by blowing compressed air from the side direction.
