Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a stable printing by preparing inks with the physical property adapted for temperature conditions corresponding to changes in the temperature of a printing machine or the like to be supplied to a plate with a plurality of ink reserviors. CONSTITUTION:In an ink supply mehanism so designed to supply inks I1 and I2 of two ink reservoirs 1 and 7 to a plate through rolls, a hard ink is retained in one of the two ink reservoirs and a soft ink in the other. A temperature measuring section A is provided to detect one or more of the surface temperature of a supply roll, the temperature of a plate surface, the temperature of a blanket surface, ink temperature and the like. The rotation of motors M1 and M2 for rotating the ink reservoirs 1 and 7 is varied corresponding to temperature conditions being detected whereby the supply of the ink from the two ink reservoirs is adjusted to ensure the mixing ratio at which the optimum printing quality can be obtained under the temperature condition detected before printing out.
