Abstract

PURPOSE:To settle a fact that it takes time for making an electric power source, by starting an electric power source device which is long in an electric power source making end time or large in a rush current, and other electric power source device, by monitoring a return time of a response signal, and by a sequence control, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a start signal ON is provided to an electric power source control deivce 102 of a computer system 101, the device 102 outputs a control signal C1 to an eletric power source device 103 which is large in a rush current, or requires a long time for completion of making. After the signal C1 has been outputted, the device 102 stops its control temporarily, and waits for an answer back signal ANS which is returned from the device 103. When the signal ANS is returned, the device 102 is started again, and start signals C2-Cn+2 are automatically outputted at constant time intervals to electric power source devices 1041-104n, respectively, by the sequence control. In case when the signal ANS is not returned even when a prescribed time has elapsed, the device executes a control operation after the signal C2. In this way, it is settled that a rush current is overlapped, and also it takes time for making an electric power source, and also a system-down in case when the signal ANS is not returned is prevented.
