Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce numbers of column lines and interlacing circuits required for a read, by applying a simultaneous two-line read system to a solid image pickup element on a hybrid system. CONSTITUTION:A positive voltage is applied to terminal 325 of interlacing circuit 324. In this state, if a scanning pulse is outputted from vertical scanning circuit 328 to line 329, it is applied to row line 333 via MOSFET 330 in the ON state. Next, when a positive voltage is applied to terminal 327 of interlacing circuit 324, the scanning pulse applied to line 329 is applied to row line 334 via MOSFET 331 in the ON state.
