Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the total amount of energy consumed in an air conditioner, to make small the over-all size and to enhance the efficiency of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition where a solar heat collector 22 can be used, three-way valves 21, 24 are changed over so that their connection ports (a), (b) are connected, and blowers 12, 23, 28, a rotary-type total heat exchanger 17, a rotary-type sensible heat exchanger 18, and humidifiers 19, 20 are set into operating conditions. Air in a room 11 is circulated through an air-passing duct 13 as indicated by 14 and is returned into the room 11. Hot air obtained in the solar heat collector 22 is circulated through an air-passing duct 15, so that the moisture condensed into water in the rotary-type total heat exchanger 17 is evaporated by contacting with the hot air and is discharged.
