Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the timing of the servo used in automatic speed change gear by adjusting the opening of a restriction orifice placed on the second hydraulic circuit connected to the oil reservoir of an accumulator installed on the first hydraulic circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A multi-plate brake 26 and 1-2 speed selector valve 46 are connected by a hydraulic circuit 53. A restriction orifice 75 is placed in a hydraulic circuit 57 so that hydraulic pressure is supplied to the hydraulic chamber 61 of a brake 26 and thus the oil is supplied also to an oil reservoir 72 to accumulator 55 via the restriction orifice 75. As a result a piston 71 is made to move down to build up the apparent hydraulic pressure in the acuumulator 55. When the oil in the hydraulic chamber 61 is discharged, the oil is discharged from the oil reservoir 72 of the accumulator 55 via the orifice 75 and therefore the apparent hydraulic pressure in the accumulator drops.
