Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce shock of gear shift by supplying a low oil pressure, corresponding to the operating condition for a short period of time during the gear shift, to a pair of friction coupling unit which are not used in common with the gear speed immediately before and after the gear shift being made at the moment.
CONSTITUTION: When a command to establish the third gear speed is issued from an electronic control unit 290 to a solenoid valve 310, the spool 191 of a 2-3 shift valve 190 is switched to right hand side. At this time, an oil passage 421 is made open to an oil passage 428, and an oil passage 422 also to an oil passage 429. The oil passage 429 becomes simultaneously connected to the open side chamber 433 of a kick-down brake 14 through a 3-4 shift valve 210, and also to the oil pressure chamber of a front cluth 11 through a change-over valve 434. The oil pressure control valve 250 reduces the oil pressure in the oil passage 422, at this moment, for a short period of time during the gear shift, preventing the shock of gear shift.
