Abstract
PURPOSE: To let transmission torque rise gradually rather than boosting up impulsively when the gear of an automatic transmission to an automobile is shifted from "N" to "R" by adapting solenoid valves for a hydraulic control unit to feed and discharge hydraulic pressure alternatively to dual hydraulic pressure servos of a driving friction clutch.
CONSTITUTION: Upon shifting a gear from "N" to "R", a 3rd and 4th solenoid valves 230 and 240 are electrically continued in advance. Hydraulic pressure of a fluid pipe 315 is directed to a hydraulic pressure servo 22B via 1-2 shift valve 120, a fluid pipe 316, hydraulic pressure servo 35A, 2-3 shift valve 130 and a fluid pipe 320; a brake 35 and a clutch 22, acting as driving components, are engaged in operation, and the hydraulic pressure directed to a clutch sequence valve 190 is blocked by a spool 192. After a certain time, the 4th solenoid valve 240 is deenergized, the spool 192 for the clutch sequence valve 190 is set to the left bottom position shown in the diagram, fluid pipes 315 and 329 are interconnected and the hydraulic pressure of the fluid pipe 315 is directed to a hydraulic pressure servo 22A through the fluid pipe 329. Thus the sufficient capacity of transmission torque to the clutch 22 is secured when an automobile is backing.
