Abstract
PURPOSE:To positively perform the intermittent transfer of the subject lead frame by a method wherein, after the transfer of the lead frame by a feed pawl has been completed, the feed pawl is disconnected from the frame by retreating it reverse to the direction of transfer, the feed pawl is raised and returned to its original position, and these movements are repeated. CONSTITUTION:In the lead frame carrier device, first, the driving force is transmitted to a driving shaft 18 by rotating a driving motor 22, the vertically moving cam 11 fixed on the shaft 18 is rotated, and a shaft 6 is vertically moved in accordance with this profile through the intermediary of a cam follower 10. On the other hand, a feeding cam 8 fixed on a shaft 16 is rotated by transmitting the driving force to a cam shaft 16, which is orthogonally intersecting with the shaft 18, through the intermediary of a screw gear 17, and in accordance with this cam profile, the pawl fixing block 3 is slid in the direction of the lead frame transfer. Through these procedures, a box movement is generated at a feed pawl 5 by the timing of the cams 8 and 11, the connection and disconnection of the pawl 5 for the frames are performed, and the frames are intermittently transferred.
