Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the faulty rotation of a supply reel drive disk in the reverse reproduction mode, by connecting concentrically a brake wheel to the supply reel disk via a one-way clutch and releasing the engagement between the brake wheel and the supply reel drive disk in the reverse reproduction mode. CONSTITUTION:A supply reel drive disk 35 is connected rotatably to a shaft 103 erected on a device substrate 1, and a brake wheel 100 wound with a tension band 96 is pressed to the lower part of the disk 35 via a one-way clutch 101 to be concentrically and rotatably connected to the disk 35. In the recording mode, both the disk 35 and the wheel 100 turn in a body and accordingly the tension control is possible for a magnetic tape by the band 96 wound round the wheel 100. When the disk 35 has a reverse turn, the clutch 101 slides. Thus the disk 35 has the racing to the wheel 100, and accordingly no braking force is applied to the disk 35.
