Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the undesired vibration factors excepting the one in the horizontl direction, by using a magnet and a magnetic fluid at a support mechanism part where a mobile casing of a head is supported so as to be movable only toward the horizontal direction from both side surfaces of the casing. CONSTITUTION:A guide member 23 consists of a magnet 27 and a pole piece 28 made of a megnetic material, and a guide shaft 24 is made of a nonmagnetic material. A magnetic fluid 29 is provided between the piece 28 and the shaft 24. As the fluid 29 exists between the member 23 and the shaft 24, the vibration is possible only in a direction. A guide protruded streak 23' and a guide groove 24' are used in place of the member 23 and the shaft 24 respectively, and a magnet 30 is fixed at the side of the groove 24', and the fluid 29 can also be provided between the magnet 30 and the streak 24'. In this case, the vibration is also possible only in a direction.
