Abstract

PURPOSE:To only bring a specimen into a focus to move a condenser to an optimum position, by moving the condenser while interlocking with movement of the stage due to a fine adjustment handle to specify the quantity of movement of the condenser. CONSTITUTION:If a condenser 6 is moved for (n-1)/nXDELTA to a movement quantity DELTA of a stage upper face 7 when the refractive index of a slide glass 8 is denoted as (n), an aperture diaphragm is focused on the glass 8. Then, a feed screw 38 rotated by a fine adjustment handled 31 is screwed with a female screw of a condenser attaching part 60, and the upper end is held from above and below in a stage attaching part 71 by a bearing 40. When a stage 70 is lowered, the condenser attaching part 60 is moved simultaneously; and after that, when the stage 70 is raised by 1/nDELTA with the fine adjustment handle 31, the condenser is lowered by (n-1)nXDELTA. Thus, the condenser is moved to an optimum position by the focusing operation.
