Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable static and dynamic fuel injection amount to be easily adjusted by using a screw, by a method wherein a magnetic core is rotated with respect to a main body 10 of a solenoid operated fuel injection valve in the condition where the valve is assembled. CONSTITUTION:After the solenoid operated fuel injection valve having the main body 10 composed of a housing 11, a nozzle body 12 and a plate 13 is assembled, the magnetic core 16 is rotated with respect to the plate 13 so that the core 16 and a stopper 17 retained thereby are moved in the axial direction by the functions of a threaded holes 131 and a screw part 161. By these operations, the lift amount L of a needle 23 from a valve opening position to the position where it contacts with the stopper 17 to fully open the valve is varied, the area of an annular clearance formed by a valve port 231 and a valve seat 122 at the opening of the needle 23 is regulated, the final air gap G between a movable core 21 and the magnetic core 16 at the time of full opening of the needle 23 is secured, and the static fuel injection amount is adjusted. Then, the threaded hole 131 and the screw part 161 are fixed by an adhesive or the like to ensure that the core 16 is not rotated with respect to the plate 13. Further, the core 16 is rotated with respect to the stopper 17, an adjusting bolt 19 is moved by the functions of screws 172, 192, and the elastic force of a spring 25 is changed to adjust the dynamic injection amount, after which the stopper 17 and the core 16 are fixed by an adhesive or the like.
