Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition having a high rate of photocuring and being excellent in adhesiveness, hardness and impact resistance, comprising a specified modified epoxy resin, a polyacrylate compound, a photo-polymerizable compound, rutile TiO2, a higher fatty acid ester and a photo-curing agent.
CONSTITUTION: A photo-curable component is prepared by mixing (i) 100pts.wt. modified epoxy resin prepared by ring-opening and esterifying 30W80% of the total epoxy groups of a bisphenol-derived resin, average MW400W1,500, epoxy eq.wt. 300W1,500, with an unsaturated acid compound (e.g. acrylic acid) with (ii) 30W80pts.wt. polyacrylate compound, MW200W600, having at least three acryloyl groups in the molecule, (e.g., pentaerythritol acrylate), 100W300pts.wt. photo-polymerizable compound (e.g., 2-hydroxylethyl acrylate). Then, to the thus prepared copolymer are added 100W150wt% rutile TiO2, 0.2W2wt% higher fatty acid ester (e.g., 1,5-sorbitan monostearate) and 0.5W5wt% photo-curing agent.
