Abstract

PURPOSE:To answer from an absence transfer registered extension in response to an incoming call from the same extension group, by using an extension group storage device for storing the extensions by dividing them into groups in advance, discriminating the connecting relation between the extensions, and making the absence transfer registration effective or ineffective. CONSTITUTION:An extension group storage device LGM for storing the extension telephone sets to be stored in an automatic switching device, by dividing them into groups in advance, and an absence transfer registering memory ATM are connected to a central controller CCU by a bus D.B. In this state, when an incoming call has arrived at an extension telephone set which is being registered, the CCU reads out the memory information, makes the absence transfer registration ineffective against an incoming call from an extension of the same group, and makes the absence transfer registration ineffective against an incoming call from other extension group. In this way, as for the incoming call from the same extension call, an answer is executed from the absence registered extension without releasing the absence transfer registration.
