Abstract

PURPOSE:To know the contents of a message recorded in an automatic answering telephone set over the telephone set, by providing the automatic answering telephone set with a push-button dialing signal detecting circuit and a recording and reproducing control circuit. CONSTITUTION:An incoming call from an exchange EX2 is connected to an artificial answering circuit and an answer signal is sent to the exchange to record a message. The message is received by the multifrequency code receiving circuit 2 of an additional device 1 and then stored in a receiving memory circuit 3. On detecting the reception of the message or the end signal of the signal, a collating circuit 5 is actuated to collate the contents of the memory circuit 3 with a push- button dialing code set in a semivolatile memory circuit 4. When the both are coincident, a recording and reproducing control circuit 6 is actuated to transfer the recorded message to a calling subscriber. Thus, the message recorded in an automatic answering telephone set is known over the telephone set.
