Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly grasp the properties of deep substratum by a method in which a loading tube is penetrated and fixed underground, a load is applied on a loading plate to press it into the ground, and the reaction of the loading is received by the loading plate to survey the amount of the plate moved by pressing. CONSTITUTION:A pit is excavated by an auger 25, bentonite 26 is injected into the lower part of the pit 2 through a tip nozzle when pulling up the auger 25, and then cement mortar, etc., is poured onto the bentonite. A loading tube 3 is inserted into the pit 2 and slightly pressed by an auger speed reducer 28. Then, a loading plate 5 is pressed into the ground 1 by operating a loading jack 6 with frictional resistance as a reaction around the upper part of the loading tube 3, whereupon as the loading plate 5 moves, a displacement measuring long member 7 is moved. Thus, the moving amount is measured by a dial guage 30 to test the bearing force of the deep substratum.
