PURPOSE:To stabilize characteristics while improving precision by providing a fixing means of positioning a tape guiding means on a base plate which mounts directly the rotary cylinder of a device that performs recording and reproduction by winding a magnetic tape around the rotary cylinder spirally. CONSTITUTION:On a chassis 19 made into a sheet, all running system parts are constituted. Then, IN and OUT tape guides 20 and 21 while drawing a magnetic tape out of a cassette move by sliding in guide grooves 26 and 27, and are fixed by IN and OUT catchers 22 and 23. A rotary cylinder (not shown in the figure) is fitted to a cylinder fitting surface at a prescribed angle. The magnetic tape from a supply reel 2 is wound around the IN tape guide 20, rotary cylinder and OUT tape guide 21 by way of an entry-side fixed pin 10, an erasing head 11 and an entry-side impedance roller 12, and driven by a capstan 4 and a pinch roller 6 through an exit-side impedance roller 15, an A/C head 16, and an exit-side fixed pin 17 to reach a take-up reel 3.
