Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a dry toner having high heat roller fixability and superior integrated performance by using a cross-linked styrene-acrylic polymer having specified values or above of softening point and xylol varnish viscosity. CONSTITUTION:A toner contg. a cross-linked styrene-acrylic polymer having 100-140 deg.C softening point according to JISK-2531 and >=200cps xylol varnish viscosity (viscosity measured at 25 deg.C in 1:2wt. ratio between resin and xylol) by >=50wt% of the total amount of binding resins is prepared. The toner does not cause offsetting and twining phenomena to a fixing roller during heat fixing, has high fluidity, and gives a clear image free from fog. It is not required to apply oil for preventing offsetting to a heat roller fixing device, and the impact resistance of the toner is improved.
